Sketching Practice
In this Activity we applied the skills we had learned to more complex shapes, like ones that needed to be folded, or only knowing a few faces of the objects.
Conclusion:
1. What is a Technical Sketch? What is an Artistic Sketch? How are the two similar and how are the different?
A technical sketch is a sketch that you can use to build or get an understanding of something. An artistic sketch is one that you use to look at an object and see what it would look like if it were in front of you. They are both drawings of three-dimensional shapes.
2. How do you envision applying your sketching skills in other classes?
None of my current classes are art-based, but it might give me more insight on how to draw 3-D objects in the future.
3. How do you envision applying your sketching skills in college?
I'm not quite sure what I will be doing in college yet, but I would probably use them to sketch objects for a project or something.
4. How would you teach sketching to a student next year?
I would probably go more in-depth on sketching from multiple vanishing points.
